How do I turn a video into a written quote?

SayCandid writes a short quote from your customer's own words. Show it under the video on your website, or copy it anywhere.

1 min read

A quote is a sentence or two in your customer's own words, picked from what they said. Great for your website, social posts or flyers.

  1. Open the video (Video reviews, click it, press Edit).
  2. Make the captions first if there are none (see How do I add captions?). A quote is usually made with them.
  3. Choose Quote on the left.
  4. Press Make a quote if there isn't one yet.

Use it

  • Copy quote: copies the text to paste anywhere.
  • Edit the quote: change any word. It then says Written by you.
  • Make a new one: try again for a different quote.
  • Show on your website: pick Quote (a sentence) or Key points (a short list).

To show quotes under the videos on your website, turn on Quote in the Videos step of your widget. See How do I change how the videos look on my site?

"Make captions first"

The quote is built from what your customer said, so the words are needed first. Go to Captions and press Generate captions.

"Nothing to quote"

The customer said too little for a quote. Press Write it yourself to type one, using their words.
