Accessibility
Last updated 26 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use SayCandid: the businesses that collect video reviews, the customers who record them, and the people who watch them on a business’s website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard the European Accessibility Act points to.
What we do
- Our pages and the review widget are built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Buttons, menus and dialogs have names that screen readers announce.
- Text and controls have enough colour contrast, in light and dark mode.
- Pages respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Pages stay usable when you zoom in to 200% or use a phone held either way.
- Businesses can add captions to every video with one click, so videos make sense with the sound off.
Where we’re not there yet
- Captions are written automatically from speech. A business can fix them, but until it does they may contain mistakes.
- Videos are recorded by customers, so we can’t add audio descriptions of what’s shown in them.
- The review widget sits on a business’s own website. We make the widget itself accessible, but the rest of that website is up to the business.
How we check
We test with keyboard only, a screen reader and automated checks whenever we change a screen, and fix what we find. This statement was last reviewed on 26 October 2026.
